Fraser Fir is native to the mountains of Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia above 3,000 feet. Cones form early on the Fraser and can produce much litter as a Christmas tree and leaving a 2" vertical stick showing. Fast becoming the primer Christmas tree in the US, known as the Cadillac of Christmas trees.. Fraser Fir has a most fragrant smell when the buds are crushed. Does not do well in wet soils.
