This is a fast-growing fir that is tolerant of warmer climates and native to Northwestern Turkey, in the mountains and around the Black Sea. As with most exotic firs plant only away from frost pockets but it is hardy to -30 F. Will grow on south slopes and dryer ground. This is quite possibly the next big fir for Christmas tree growers.
